Wife of the Former Governor of Ogun State, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun has said she would continue to support the cause of the less privilege in the society to improve the quality of life of the people irrespective of their age and status, assuring of her partnership with SOS Ministries International and any relevant organisations.
Receiving members of SOS Ministries from Florida, United States America in her office at South-west Resource, Centre, Oke-Mosan in
Abeokuta on the 14th of January, 2013, Mrs. Amosun identified with the ministries, saying their programmes were in line with her Uplift Development Foundation projects which aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the needy.
Highlighting projects of her Uplift Development Foundation, the Wife of the Former Governor explained her uplift projects have empowered over 50,000 youths, women and children through human capacity building and distribution of items to enable them earn a living and be self–employed and self-reliant.
She appreciated and thanked the delegation for their visit, harping on her continuous desire to lend a helping hand to the needy who could not earn a living.
In her response, the leader of the delegation, Pastor Michael Schadt commended the extraordinary vision of Mrs. Amosun to help the needy in the State especially in the area of empowerment and human capital development, which he described as service to God and humanity. He assured of his readiness to collaborate with Uplift Development Foundation to boost the standard of living of the people of Ogun State.
He said the visit was aimed at meeting with Mrs. Amosun, having had a lot about her projects and how she had better the lots of needy children and women in the state, citing example of Steven’s Children’s Home, an orphanage that SOS Ministries had supported for over five years.
